Selected Work
A showcase of my recent engineering projects, ranging from AI-driven game systems to low-level system optimization.
DECA Compiler
FeaturedA compiler for the DECA language, built in a team of five: AST construction, semantic analysis and assembly code emission. Set up the CI/CD pipeline and parallelized the test suite to keep build times short. Source is a private school repository.
G4AL — Vibe Gaming
FeaturedA top-down 2D survival game where you command NPCs naturally using your voice. Built for the Mistral Worldwide Hackathon 2026, it uses the Voxtral model to interpret spoken orders into structured game actions, integrated with ElevenLabs TTS.
HCI — RAG Robot Decider
FeaturedLocal-first RAG that lets a forest robot explain its path choices from its own records: hybrid BM25 + embedding retrieval, structure-aware document ingestion, optional Claude agent mode with operator-approved facts, and a streaming phone web app.
pr-radar
FeaturedDesktop app showing your open GitHub PRs as a tree: stacks, reviews, CI status, discussions and merges at a glance. Installable with Homebrew: brew install --cask vlor999/tap/pr-radar.
mxtop
FeaturedPerformance monitoring CLI for Apple Silicon, maintained fork of asitop: real-time CPU, GPU, ANE, memory bandwidth and power metrics in the terminal. Published on PyPI (pip install mxtop).
Jauge
FeaturedMenu bar app for Apple silicon Macs that keeps the battery at the level you choose: charge limit, discharge while plugged in, calibration, heat protection and scheduling. Root daemon talking to the SMC, Shortcuts actions and a CLI (jaugectl). Signed, notarized, installable with Homebrew.
compression-jpeg
FeaturedPPM/PGM to JPEG encoder in C, built in a team of three at ENSIMAG: YCbCr conversion, chroma subsampling, DCT, zigzag, quantization, RLE and Huffman coding, down to a standard-compliant JPEG file.
Game of Life
Conway's Game of Life in C++ with an SFML 2 graphical interface, configurable grid size and initial density from the command line.
Open Source
Passionate about contributing back to the community and improving tools millions of developers use daily.
MLX — Window Functions
ml-explore/mlx · 4 PRs merged
Contributed the window functions now shipping in mlx.core to Apple's machine learning framework: hanning (#3124), hamming (#3135), blackman (#3136) and bartlett (#3155). Each one validated against NumPy as a numerical reference, plus a prototype native i0 (modified Bessel) kernel to unlock the Kaiser window.
pytest & oh-my-zsh
pytest-dev · ohmyzsh · under review
Proposed a --name-only option for pytest's terminal reporter, and git aliases to diff the current branch against main/develop in oh-my-zsh. Both PRs open upstream.
mxtop — Apple Silicon
Vlor999/mxtop · maintainer
Maintain mxtop, a real-time performance monitoring CLI for Apple M-series chips, revived from the unmaintained asitop and published on PyPI. Reworked the rendering so GPU/ANE and memory-bandwidth metrics read at a glance.
Professional Journey
From engineering school and internships to data science at Theodo.
Data Scientist / Engineer
Theodo Data & AI — Paris, France
Full-time on the data & AI team after my end-of-studies internship there, working on data platforms and LLM-based products.
End-of-studies Intern — Data Scientist / Engineer
Theodo Data & AI — Paris, France
LLM-based data structuring and agentic tooling.
HackerRank Campus Ambassador
HackerRank — Université Grenoble Alpes
Ran the campus developer community: organized coding challenges and prepared students for technical assessments, with a focus on AI. Ranked 118th out of 1,983 at HackerRank Orchestrate (Aug 2026), a 24-hour hackathon to build and ship an AI agent.
Data Engineer / Scientist Intern
Theodo Data & AI, pharmaceutical client — Paris, France
Replaced a manual ingestion process with an automated pipeline (PDF extraction, web scraping). Built ETL jobs as Python wheels on Databricks, containerized services with Docker, and shipped a Document AI solution using LiteLLM for semantic chunking and retrieval.
Exchange Semester — TU Graz
Graz University of Technology — Graz, Austria
Advanced studies in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, GPU Programming (CUDA), and Geometric 3D-Modeling. Focused on high-performance computing and Human-Computer Interaction.
Engineering Degree — ENSIMAG
Grenoble INP - ENSIMAG — Grenoble, France
Engineering degree in applied mathematics and computer science, MMIS track. OS design, algorithmics, distributed systems and artificial intelligence.
